Stonework Complete!

Alright, I knew I wouldn't make it until Monday without driving by the house.
We found out our future neighborhood was having a few yard sales today, so we took advantage of our free morning and walked around to meet a few more neighbors.

The morning could not have been better! In meeting the neighbors two houses down, the sister of the mom uses the same sitter we use for our baby girl! Our daughter has played with these two kids all year, and their cousins will be our new neighbors. We are moving about 45 minutes away from my work and this sitter, so it really shows how small of a world we do live in. It was so cool. We met another family that lives behind us who also built with Ryan last year. They have a Naples and love it. (Most of our immediate neighbors do not live in homes built by Ryan...). This family is currently putting in a pool and they invited us over once we get settled. They have 4 little ones with the youngest pretty close in age to our daughter. These introductions to new families make me even more excited to move!!!

Alright, onto the stonework pictures. We both love the final result:

Two Kitchen Pictures

Our Project Manager sent us two pictures this morning of our cabinets. We are meeting him on Monday 7/2 to walk through the house, but he knows I'm having a hard time waiting until then.

Love! Love! Can't wait until they have the countertops installed as well. I'm also thinking that the island is not in its official placement yet since it seems pretty far over to the right.

One Month!

We are set to make settlement one month from today!

We took a family drive to the house tonight (after we each went by individually earlier in the day)...so yes, that makes it twice today. We plan to meet our PM on Monday afternoon to walk through and see the progress, so I'm going to see if I can hold off from driving by until then.

Progress from today- sidewalks and walkway poured, column for porch installed and stone for front arrived.

A Garage of Goodies!

Drove by last night since it had been a few days. We were told the cabinets would arrive on Monday 6/25 and there they were along with doors and a bathroom sink! I am dying to see our countertops but didn't notice them in the pile. I realized once I left and looked through the pictures that our garage door had been installed too!

They are also prepping to do our sidewalk pretty soon! I bet our neighbors will be pretty happy to have that section of the neighborhood complete. We are the only ones building in our back section as our neighbors have all been in their homes for 4+ years (from a different builder).

They are also planning to do our walkway soon since that is also prepped for cement. It's all coming together!

I'm hoping we can get inside after they install the cabinets tomorrow.

Weekend Update

Tonight we had our weekly call from our PM. The drywall has been put up in each room as of today. They'll spend a few more days finalizing it to prepare it for its first coat of paint this week. We were also told that Monday all of our cabinets should arrive and they'll start to install them by Wednesday! Hopefully we can schedule a visit to get inside at that point.

We are quickly approaching the one month countdown for settlement. I can hardly believe this home will be ours so soon. We truly feel blessed to soon be living what feels like a dream come true for our little family. I'm still not sure when it will "hit" that this house, the land, the quiet neighborhood will be ours. This beautiful home that didn't exist a few weeks ago is almost ours. It's really hard to take it all in some days. I'm sure others of you know what I mean.

Here's a few pictures I took today on my every-other-day drive by the home. One shows our "beautiful" weeds and the right-side property line. Another is a close-up of the trim around our door and the other two are inside shots of the garage and visible drywall:

Baby Got Back!

Stopped by to see three work trucks out front! One was working on plumbing, another on insulation and I'm not quite sure about the third. I decided to walk around the back of the lot since it was pretty dry today. I realized I didn't have many pictures of the back of our house, so I snapped a few!

In other news, we started some calls today to start up the daunting moving process. We have two different moving companies coming out this week to our apartment to give us quotes. About four people at work told me it was so helpful and took away so much of the moving stress for them. We are moving from a two bedroom apartment, but still wanted to try to see what this potential cost would be to see of it's worth it. We also scheduled for our apartment carpets to be cleaned once we are out of here. We are so fortunate to have a full month until our lease runs out to work on cleaning up this place to try to get our security deposit back.

And now for the "backside" pictures!

Front Stoop & Interest Rate

Drove by yesterday to see the newly poured cement for the front of the house. This week was mainly filled with electrical, plumbing and inspections.

We also decided to lock in our interest rate yesterday with our loan officer from NVR. 3.625% baby!

Pre-Drywall Meeting Part Two

July 25th!!!!! July 25th!!!!!!

That's our pre-settlement meeting as of today. Our PM said it could fluctuate by a day or two but that should be fairly accurate. That to me is right around the corner! Uhhh, it's next month! Aahhhhh! We are so psyched!

This week they're working on electric and plumbing. By the end of the week they'll start insulation and then put up the drywall!

I can't get over how fast this part is going. The waiting game was awful up to last month. I can't believe we'll be moving into our dream home in a matter of weeks.

One happy momma at dinner after our meeting tonight.
